| 1. | The proposed InLink unit by virtue of its siting in a prominent position and excessive proportions would result in an incongruous addition to the street-scene which would be visually intrusive creating visual street clutter that would detract from the character and appearance of the area and would neither preserve nor enhance this section of the Romford Conservation Area. The proposals would therefore not accord with Policies DC61 and DC68 of the Development Control Policies Development Plan Document. |
| 2. | The proposals would erode the footway width in an area of importance for pedestrian movement in close proximity to Gidea Park Railway Station. There is an overarching concern that the proposals may then result in a pinch point to the detriment of the comfort and convenience of pedestrians and the proposals are therefore contrary to Policy DC34 of the Development Control Policies Development Plan Document. |
