1. | The proposed InLink unit by virtue of its siting in a prominent position and excessive proportions would result in an incongruous addition to the street-scene which would be visually intrusive creating visual street clutter that would detract from the character and appearance of the area. The proposal would therefore not accord with Policy DC61 Development Control Policies Development Plan Document. |
2. | The proposals would result in a pinch point to the detriment of the comfort and convenience of pedestrians. In new installation would be within the visibility splay for drivers emerging from Park Drive and would as a result almost completely impede views of southbound traffic on North Street to the detriment of highway safety. The development would therefore conflict with Policies DC32 and DC34 Development Control Policies Development Plan Document. |
3. | Statement Required by Article 35 (2) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015: Consideration was given to seeking amendments, but given conflict with adopted planning policy, notification of intended refusal and the reason(s) for it was given to the agent in writing 11-01-2018 |
