1.The proposed side/rear extension together with its roof alteration and first floor rear extension/dormer would, by reason of their excessive scale, bulk, mass and design, appear as an unacceptably dominant and visually intrusive addition to the property, unbalancing the appearance of this semi-detached pair, be harmful to the character and appearance of the surrounding area, contrary to the Residential Extension and Alteration Supplementary Planning Document and Policy DC61 of the LDF Core Strategy and Development Control Policies Development Plan Document.
2.Statement Required by Article 35 (2) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015: In accordance with para 186-187 of the National Planning Policy Framework 2012, improvements required to make the proposal acceptable were sent to "Churchward Design & Surveying Services", by Email on 07.03.17. The revisions suggested considerable changes to reduce the overall bulk and mass of the proposed side and rear extensions. The applicant failed to provide revisions.
