1.The proposed development by reason of its siting, design, scale and bulk, in particular its excessive width,would fail to be subordinate to the original dwelling and would partially obscure the open space character and vistas for the visually prominent corner site and would detract from the character of the original dwelling and immediate surrounding area contrary to Policies 7.4 of the London Plan 2016, Havering's Residential Extensions and Alterations SPD (adopted 2011), Policy DC61 of the Core Strategy and Development Control DPD (adopted 2008) and section 7 of the National Planning Policy Framework.
2.Statement Required by Article 35 (2) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015: Consideration was given to seeking amendments, but given conflict with adopted planning policy, notification of intended refusal and the reason(s) for it was given to Mr Chris Andrews (agent), via email on 13 May 2020.
