| 1. | The proposed full-width flat-roof side dormers, by virtue of their inappropriate scale, height, and bulk, would fail to appear subordinate to the host property. The resulting development would form an incongruous and dominant feature that degrades the architectural integrity of the dwelling and severely compromises the visual amenity of the surrounding streetscene. Consequently, the application conflicts with Policies 7 and 26 of the Havering Local Plan and the design principles set out within the Residential Extensions and Alterations SPD (2011). |
