| 1. | The proposed increased roof height would appear as an unacceptably dominant and visually intrusive feature within the street scene, harmful to the established character and appearance of the surrounding area. In addition, the inconsistent and uncoordinated window design across all elevations would further detract from the architectural coherence of the proposal, resulting in a visually discordant and unsympathetic addition to the host property. Together, these elements contribute to a disproportionate and bulky form of development, contrary to Policies 7 and 26 of the Havering Local Plan and the guidance set out in the Residential Extensions and Alterations Supplementary Planning Document. |
