| 1. | The proposed side extension by reason of its design incorporating a parapet, crown roof and its positing would form an incongruous feature which would not satisfactorily integrate with the host proposal and would unacceptably affect the symmetrical aspect of the pair of the semi detached building. Hence, it is considered that the proposed development would be visually intrusive feature in the streetscene, harmful to the appearance and character of the host property and surrounding area contrary to Policy DC61 of the LDF Core Strategy and Development Control Policies Development Plan Document 2008 and the to advice set out in the Residential Extension and Alteration Supplementary Design Guidance adopted 2011. |
| 2. | The proposed alterations in terms of the front porch and bay windows would, by reason of their design, be an intrusive and incongruous development thereby harming the visual amenity and character of the host property and surrounding area contrary to to Policy DC61 of the LDF Core Strategy and Development Control Policies Development Plan Document 2008 and the to advice set out in the Residential Extension and Alteration Supplementary Design Guidance adopted 2011. |
