1.The proposal to raise the height of the roof of the mid-terrace house is judged to unacceptably disrupt the roof form of the terrace, to the detriment of the character of the property, terrace and appearance of the surrounding area. The development is therefore contrary to Policy DC61 of the LDF Core Strategy and Development Control Policies DPD, the Residential Extensions and Alterations SPD and London Plan Policy 7.4, which requires development to maintain, enhance or improve the character and appearance of the local area.
2.Statement Required by Article 35 (2) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015: Consideration was given to seeking amendments, but given conflict with adopted planning policy, notification of intended refusal and the reason(s) for it was given to Mr Fernandes, by telephone on 10.11.2017.
