1.By reason of its design, excessive bulk, mass and siting, the proposed two storey side extension would create an overly dominant and disproportionate addition that would represent an intrusive form of development. The proposal would reduce the open characteristic gap between the detached houses and would cause unacceptable harm to the street scene, contrary to Policies CP17, DC61 and DC69 of the LDF Core Strategy and Development Control Policies DPD (2008), along with the Residential Extensions and Alteration and Hall Lane Policy Area Supplementary Planning Documents.
2.Statement Required by Article 35 (2) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015: Consideration was given to seeking amendments, but given conflict with adopted planning policy, notification of intended refusal and the reason(s) for it was given to Mr Quille by phone on 24th November 2017.
