1.The proposed front extension would, by reason of its excessive depth and lack of subservience, visually unbalance this pair of semi-detached properties and appear as an unacceptably dominant and incongruous addition to the property, harmful to the character of the streetscene, contrary to the Councils Residential Extension and Alteration Supplementary Planning Document and Policy DC61 of the LDF Core Strategy and Development Control Policies Development Plan Document.
2.Statement Required by Article 35 (2) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015: In accordance with para 186-187 of the National Planning Policy Framework 2012, improvements required to make the proposal acceptable were negotiated with Mr Goodall, by letter dated 08.12.2015. The revisions involved reducing the depth of the extension. The applicant declined to make the suggested revisions.
