1.The proposed hip to gable extension, by reason of its combined bulk and mass, would appear as an unacceptably dominant and visually intrusive feature in the roof of this property, unbalancing its appearance and detracting from the character and appearance of the street scene. The development is therefore contrary to Policy DC61 of the LDF Core Strategy and Development Control Policies DPD and the Residential Extensions and Alterations SPD and Policy 7.4 of the London Plan 2016.
2.The proposed roof alteration would, by reason of its position close to the boundary of the site, would be an intrusive and unneighbourly development, to the detriment of the residential amenities of the occupant of No. 39 Homeway contrary to Policy DC61 of the LDF Core Strategy and Development Control Policies DPD and Residential Extensions and Alterations SPD 2011.
3.Statement Required by Article 35 (2) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (England) Order 2015: Consideration was given to seeking amendments, but given conflict with adopted planning policy, notification of intended refusal and the reason(s) for it was given to Mr Aswat (agent) by email on 10/02/2020.
