1.It is recommended that the trees which stand to the rear of 4 Elm Walk, which is within the Gidea Park Conservation Area may have the works carried out as listed below. The Lime tree which is in centrally in the rear lawn is dying this has major cavities and hollowing in main trunk and has a rotten base, can be felled as it becoming unsafe. 3x Silver birch trees to left hand side of rear garden, remove the branch growing towards property, overall crown reduce by 30% and cut back overhang to number 6 Elm Walk. Silver birch which is in front of garden shed, and is self-sown, can be felled as it restricting access. 3x silver birch trees in right hand side of rear garden are dead or dying, these can be felled.
2.It is suggested that you engage the services of a qualified and fully insured tree surgeon to carry out the above work on your behalf (you should ask to see the contractor's insurance certificate and make sure that it is up to date).
3.The applicant is advised that if you wish to carry out further works to the above tree[s] you will need to obtain our further consent.
4.Please note that if the work for which consent is granted is not carried out within 2 years of the date of this letter, it will be necessary to submit a fresh application if it is intended to implement the work.
