1.It is recommended that this Ash tree that is the subject of this application, which stands to the left hand side to the front curtilage of 34 Risebridge Road and is with in the Gidea Park Conservation Area may be felled. There is evidence of root incursion into the manhole 36 Risebridge Road, adjacent to the Ash tree, with a large anchor root across this driveway as well. On closer inspection of the tree it was noted that there were old fungal fruiting bodies indicating decay within the base of the tree.
2.It is suggested that you engage the services of a qualified and fully insured tree surgeon to carry out the above work on your behalf (you should ask to see the contractor's insurance certificate and make sure that it is up to date).
3.You should comply with British Standard No. 3998 'Recommendations for Tree Work' a copy of which can be inspected at this office. You are advised that the work should be undertaken by a competent and suitably qualified tree contractor.
