1. | It is recommended that the trees that are subject to this application are to the front and rear of 64 Balgores Lane Avenue which is within the Gidea Park Conservation Area, the conifer tree is situated on the front left hand curtilage, this can be trimmed to maintain the original shape of the conifer. In the rear garden on the left hand side 4m from the property there is a purple leaved plum which is a poor specimen and can be removed the bay laurel that is also on the left hand side adjacent to the rear of the garage can be trimmed to maintain its shape and leaf cover. To the rear of the garage there is a pear tree that can be crown thinned by 10% to remove dead wood and allow more light in the crown. The Holly tree that is between the garage and the fence can be pruned by 30% to reduce the overhang to the rear access drive, garage and the adjacent garden. |
2. | It is suggested that you engage the services of a qualified and fully insured tree surgeon to carry out the above work on your behalf (you should ask to see the contractor's insurance certificate and make sure that it is up to date). |
3. | The applicant is advised that if you wish to carry out further works to the above tree[s] you will need to obtain our further consent. |
4. | Please note that if the work for which consent is granted is not carried out within 2 years of the date of this letter, it will be necessary to submit a fresh application if it is intended to implement the work. |
5. | You should comply with British Standard No. 3998 'Recommendations for Tree Work' a copy of which can be inspected at this office. You are advised that the work should be undertaken by a competent and suitably qualified tree contractor. |
