| 1. | T5, this is on application as Beech tree to be removed, this is actually Sycamore that is not cited on Havering's TPO 29/87 |
| 2. | The Sycamore can be removed with out requesting permission as this tree is not part of the TPO 29/87. |
| 3. | It is recommended that these trees T1 Oak, T2 Beech, T4 Beech, T7 Sycamore, group G3 Holly's on the plan of Havering's TPO 29/87, can be felled.
T1 Oak - This oak has considerable dead wood with in the top of the crown, also there is a large cavity at the base, tree was tapped with sounding mallet and there is evidence that there is cavity connectivity through out the stem.
T2 Beech - This Beech tree has is a poor specimen as it is struggling because of heavy canopy layer.
T4 Beech - This Beech tree has is a poor specimen as it is struggling because of heavy canopy layer.
T7 Sycamore - this tree has damaged bark that is occluded, this tree is a poor specimen.
Group G3 Holly's - these holly's are tightly grouped and consequently have elongated growth with sparse foliage.
T3 Oak, which is centrally to front curtilage can be crown raised 5m , to remove lower limb over garden and three lowest limbs growing over Highway.
T10 Beech tree can be crown reduced by no more than 2m from the tip to an inter-nodal branch break to leave the tree balanced.
Group G5 Holly's can be crown raised 3m. |
| 4. | The work for which consent is granted shall be carried out to the standards detailed in British Standard Document BS 3998:2010.
Reason:
To ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with good arboricultural practice. |
| 5. | The work for which consent is granted shall be carried out as an overall reduction, so that the tree's crown remains balanced.
Reason:
To ensure that the tree's stability is maintained and in the interests of public amenity. |
| 6. | The work for which consent is granted shall be carried out within 2 years from the date of this consent.
Reason:
To prevent the accumulation of consents. |
| 7. | Having considered the particular circumstances of the case and the position of the trees for which consent to fell has been granted the Council has decided that it will not be necessary to replace the trees as there is plenty of tree canopy cover. |
| 8. | You should comply with British Standard No. 3998 'Recommendations for Tree Work' a copy of which can be inspected at this office. You are advised that the work should be undertaken by a competent and suitably qualified tree contractor. |
| 9. | The applicant is advised that if you wish to carry out further works to the above trees you will need to obtain our further consent. |
