1.The trees that subject to this application are situated in the grounds of The Forge Ockendon Road, which is within the North Ockendon Conservation Area, and have been inspected by the Council's Arboricultural Officer. The six Leylandii identified as group T1 on the application plans and are approximately 45m from the rear of The Forge in an easterly direction, can be felled. The Beech hedge H2 runs along the front curtilage of the land directly in a southerly direction of The Forge towards Castle Cottages, can be reduced to (fence height) 2m to include the Hawthorn, so as to aid restoration of the hedge. Conifer G1 is on the flank of 1 Castle Cottages, can be felled 3x Conifer and 1x Sycamore to ground level.
2.Please note that if the work for which consent is granted is not carried out within 2 years of the date of this letter, it will be necessary to submit a fresh application if it is intended to implement the work.
3.You should comply with British Standard No. 3998 'Recommendations for Tree Work' a copy of which can be inspected at this office. You are advised that the work should be undertaken by a competent and suitably qualified tree contractor.
