1.Removal of dead/dying branches.
2.The removal of deadwood is not covered by the TPO process so there is no requirement to gain permission to remove this, but this is covered as a notification that work is intended to remove this deadwood from the Atlantic cedar and Turkey oak.
3.It is recommended that the Atlantic cedar T17, can be overall crown reduced by up to 2.5m from the tip to an inter-nodal branch break, and the branches where the Atlantic cedar tree has grown over the driveway and overhanging adjoining property No. 42, these can be reduced by up to 3m to maintain the trees shape and balance. Turkey oak T18 can be overall crown reduced by 2m from the tip to an inter-nodal branch break and crown lifted 4.5m.
4.The work for which consent is granted shall be carried out to the standards detailed in British Standard Document BS 3998:2010. Reason: To ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with good arboricultural practice.
5.The work for which consent is granted shall be carried out as an overall reduction, so that the tree's crown remains balanced. Reason: To ensure that the tree's stability is maintained and in the interests of public amenity.
6.The work for which consent is granted shall be carried out within 2 years from the date of this consent. Reason: To prevent the accumulation of consents.
7.It is suggested that you engage the services of a qualified and fully insured tree surgeon to carry out the above work on your behalf (you should ask to see the contractor's insurance certificate and make sure that it is up to date).
8.The applicant is advised that if you wish to carry out further works to the above trees you will need to obtain our further consent.
