1.It is recommended that this Horse Chestnut tree which is situated to the front left hand side of 4 Squirrels Heath Avenue, approximately 4m from the boundary of 8 Squirrels Heath Avenue. This property is within the Gidea Park Conservation Area, the Horse Chestnut tree may be pruned to remove the overhang to 8 Squirrels Heath to the boundary, so as to leave the tree balanced.
2.It is suggested that you engage the services of a qualified and fully insured tree surgeon to carry out the above work on your behalf (you should ask to see the contractor's insurance certificate and make sure that it is up to date).
3.Please note that if the work for which consent is granted is not carried out within 2 years of the date of this letter, it will be necessary to submit a fresh application if it is intended to implement the work.
4.You should comply with British Standard No. 3998 'Recommendations for Tree Work' a copy of which can be inspected at this office. You are advised that the work should be undertaken by a competent and suitably qualified tree contractor.
5.You are within their rights to cut back any branches overhanging your property up to the boundary line (but no further), if the person cutting this back requires to climb the tree to do so then permission is needed to gain access to the tree, cuttings should be offered back to the owner to decide how they should be disposed of. We must also advise that you could potentially be liable if the tree is left in a dangerous condition and the tree becomes unstable and/ or causes damage to persons or property.
