| 1. | Oak- to front of property, ivy to be removed from trunk.
Ash- in rear garden, ivy removed from trunk. |
| 2. | Ivy is not covered by the TPO process, so requirement to gain permission to remove this is not required for this work, but this is covered as an notification that work is intended to remove this from the Oak and Ash tree. |
| 3. | It is recommended that these trees, identified as being part of reference area A1 on the plan of Havering's TPO 32/90, can be pruned as follows;
Oak- overall crown reduction by no more than 2m to an inter-nodal branch break and cut back from roof and gutters.
Ash- overall crown reduction by no more than 2m to an inter-nodal branch break, and crown raise 4m.
All damson-crown thin by up to 10% and crown raise 3m above pavement (in Queens Gardens) and cut back the overhang from neighbours drive. |
| 4. | The work for which consent is granted shall be carried out to the standards detailed in British Standard Document BS 3998:2010.
Reason:
To ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with good arboricultural practice. |
| 5. | The work for which consent is granted shall be carried out as an overall reduction, so that the tree's crown remains balanced.
Reason:
To ensure that the tree's stability is maintained and in the interests of public amenity. |
| 6. | The work for which consent is granted shall be carried out within 2 years from the date of this consent.
Reason:
To prevent the accumulation of consents. |
| 7. | It is suggested that you engage the services of a qualified and fully insured tree surgeon to carry out the above work on your behalf (you should ask to see the contractor's insurance certificate and make sure that it is up to date). |
