1.The proposed development fails to meet Schedule 2, Part 1, Class A.4(g)(i)) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015, (as amended) as the cumulative combined depth of the existing rear extension and the addition of the proposed extension exceeds 8 metres. Furthermore, the Council consider that the proposed development by reason of its excessive depth, bulk, scale and mass would unacceptably harm the amenity of the neighbouring residents at No. 27 Hood Road, Rainham by reason of loss of light, outlook and overbearing effect on this property.
2.This written notice indicates that the proposed development would not comply with conditions A.4(g)(i) and A.4 of Schedule 2 Part 1 Class A of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 2015 (as amended). It is important to note that this written notice does not indicate whether or not the proposed development would comply with any of the other limitations of conditions of Schedule 2 Part 1 Class A. The applicant has the right to an appeal against this notice to the Planning Inspectorate, see details below.
