Reasons for works.
Works are required to permit space for the installation of the new boundary structures around the development at 75 North Street (which was recommended for approval by the Regulatory Services Committee on Thursday 17th November 2016) and to
allow space for the landscaping.

It will be necessary to undertake some access facilitation pruning to tree numbers 1 and 3 as proposed in the Middlemarch report (attached).
For tree number 1 (Ash) this will involve: Selective branch tip pruning and crown lift of canopy to permit access for the construction of the car parking bays.
For tree number 3 (Horse Chestnut) this will involve: Selective branch tip pruning and crown lift of canopy to permit access for the construction of the car parking bays.
The works required will become part of the annual pruning that all of the trees and groups have already experienced in the past. It is therefore considered that all works will not be so significant or impact upon the long-term visual quality of the trees. |
