ProposalI note the concerns raised regarding insufficient detail and compliance with BS3998:2010 (Tree Work â?? Recommendations). I have provided a revised and more detailed specification below to ensure the proposed works are proportionate, clearly defined, and in line with current arboricultural best practice.   Trees and Proposed Works   T1 â?? Oak tree (ivy present, located approx. 8m from rear boundary, left side of garden) - Remove deadwood throughout crown - Light crown clean only (no significant reduction) - Retain natural shape and structure - Ivy to remain unless otherwise advised   T2 â?? Horse Chestnut (rear left boundary) - Crown reduction by up to 2 metres (maximum) on lateral spread only - Selective pruning of branches overhanging neighbouring properties - Removal of deadwood and crossing branches - Final crown to maintain balanced natural form   T3 â?? Horse Chestnut (rear centre/right boundary) - Crown reduction by up to 2â??2.5 metres where extending over neighbouring properties - Targeted reduction of end-weight on extended limbs - Removal of deadwood - No topping or excessive cutting proposed   T4 â?? Horse Chestnut (rear right corner) - Crown reduction by up to 2 metres focusing on branches overhanging adjacent properties - Light thinning where necessary to reduce sail effect - Removal of dead or weakly attached limbs   Justification for Works   The trees are mature and located along the rear boundary, with several branches extending over neighbouring residential properties and roofs.   In addition, I would like to highlight that small branches have previously fallen within my garden area, including in areas regularly used by my young child (aged almost 3). While no injury has occurred, this demonstrates a potential and ongoing risk from falling material, particularly during periods of wind or adverse weather.   The proposed works are therefore intended to: - Reduce end-weight on extended limbs - Minimise the likelihood of branch failure - Improve safety within the garden and adjacent properties - Maintain appropriate clearance from neighbouring structures - Ensure the continued health and structural integrity of the trees   Compliance   All works will be carried out by a qualified and insured tree surgeon in accordance with: - BS3998:2010 Tree Work Recommendations - Industry best practice for crown reduction and tree safety management   No trees are proposed for removal, and all works are designed to retain the amenity value and long-term health of the trees.   I trust this revised submission addresses the concerns raised and provides the necessary level of detail. I would be grateful if the application could be reconsidered accordingly.   Please let me know if any further information or a site visit is required.
